Before Dawn

I wanted to capture this scene alone. Forcing myself out of bed, while all around was dark, I ventured to the Rialto Bridge and was indeed all by myself. Tripod and camera at the ready atop the bridge I waited until the first light of dawn of dawn to capture this shot. a long exposure smoothed the water. I hope you feel what I felt a moment captured of this wonderful scene with the stillness and calm of those moments just before the sun comes up on a new day. Returning to the hotel for breakfast, the city was already into its hustle and bustle, but I knew that I had captured that special moment.
